Lenore Douglas Obituary
Fishkill - Lenore B. Douglas, 83, a resident of Fishkill since 1958, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center after a courageously fought battle with cancer.
Born in New York City on November 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Nathan and Ida Masor Berger. Professor Douglas worked at SUNY College at New Paltz for more than 25 years. She taught for the Department of Educational Studies, specifically in courses on adolescent psychology and childhood development, among other programs as well. She retired in 2010.
On March 20, 1954, she married Fred R. Douglas who predeceased her on March 12, 2008.
She is survived by her sons, David N. Douglas of Fishkill and Neil Douglas of Honolulu, HI; her grandchildren, Jason and Jesse Douglas; and her brother, Allan Berger of Silver Springs, MD.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday, September 9th at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill with Rabbi Daniel Polish officiating. Interment will follow in Link of Israel Cemetery, Newark, NJ.

Dear David,
I am so sorry at your loss. I will always think of your mother as a women of 40, and will remember many happy hours spent in your house when we were children, playing games, having lunch and watching TV, celebrating Hanukkah at your house and Christmas at ours.
