Lisa Michelle Selander Rosenberger

Marlboro- - Lisa Michelle Rosenberger, 50, of Marlboro, NY peacefully graduated to her heavenly home on August 28, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her firm belief in God as her Lord and Savior gave her ultimate peace. Born November 10, 1967 to Raymond and Susan Selander, Lisa spent all her life in the Hudson Valley, living first in Port Ewen and then in East Fishkill. After graduating from John Jay High School in 1985, she received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Marist College in 1989. Lisa then joined IBM as an engineer and worked there from 1989 to 2006. While working at IBM, she also earned an MBA from Marist College.

On May 30, 1992, Lisa married her love, Robert (Rob) Rosenberger from Cornwall on Hudson. Rob survives at home along with her beloved sons, Brandon and Tyler. Lisa had an effervescent personality and was always at the hub of all family activities. She was always concerned about everyone's well-being, a kinder person you will not meet. In 2006, Lisa joined a technology company, Infinity Technology Systems, as president and remained until her illness. Following her love for design and architecture, she and a partner began a home renovation company in 2015 which also continued until her illness. Lisa lived life to the fullest and loved to water ski, hike, fish and spend time at the beach. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her servant's heart and a personality that brought joy to everyone around her.

In addition to her husband and sons, Lisa is also survived by her parents Raymond and Susan Selander of Fishkill, NY, brothers Karl (Bobbi-Jo) of Carmel, NY and Jon (Jennifer) of Salt Point, NY; her father-in-law, Robert Rosenberger of Cornwall on Hudson, NY, brother-in-law, Larry Rosenberger (Nancy) of Howell, NJ, sister-in-law, Lorraine Tantillo (Chris) of Cornwall on Hudson; nephews, Alex Selander of Carmel, NY, Ryan and Jonathan Selander of Salt Point, NY, Matthew and Luke Rosenberger of Howell, NJ; nieces, Kayla and Joy Selander of Carmel, NY, Rachel Rosenberger of Howell, NJ, Elisabeth Tantillo of Cornwall on Hudson, NY; aunt Rhoda Conant, Bridgewater, NJ, and Bette Hamstra of Knoxville TN; cousins, Stephen and Kirsten Conant, Heather and Andrew Hamstra and innumerable friends who love her dearly.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 11am at Cornwall Baptist Church, 213 Main St, Cornwall, NY. Burial will follow in Cornwall Baptist Cemetery, Cornwall.

Dear Selander Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We reconnected w/Lisa this past Dec on a roof job ITS did for us, taking care of all big and little details, pleasant and assuring us as is so natural for her. The earthly void is difficult to bear but our common hope is in Jesus Christ for eternal peace and rest. May our gracious God embrace each of you as only He can, now and in the difficult days ahead. As God holds our loved one in His arms, God is holding you in His heart.

My deepest condolences to the Slenader and Rosenberger families. I worked with Lisa at IBM, and was expecting my first child at the same time she was expecting Brandon. Lisa was a remarkable person, always very caring.

May everyone find peace and comfort to get through the difficult times ahead.
