Lynn Petrini Obituary
East Fishkill - Lynn Petrini, 62, of Hopewell Junction, NY, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, May 10th, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born in Brooklyn, NY, and has lived in Queens, Smithtown Long Island, and Hopewell Junction. It was in Queens that Lynn met her loving husband Joe, living directly across the street. They started dating at the young age of 13 and marrying in 1985. Lynn was a loving mom to her two beautiful daughters Hailey and Taylor, and beloved sister to the late Gail Perri.
Lynn was Vice President at various banks overseeing loan and treasury operations and started her own consulting company to allow for time to spend raising her two daughters.
Lynn was a gymnast at John Adams High School in Queens. She loved to discuss politics, dancing, and crocheting, often making beautiful blankets for friends and family. She was an avid watcher of Guy Fieri's Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives and TV chef Molly Yeh, trying recipes on her family while battling her illness. With Christmas as her favorite holiday, Lynn was known to bake Christmas cookies and have dozens of gifts under the tree for her family. She was also an avid pet lover, especially to her dogs, deceased Lilly, and to Penny.
Lynn will always be remembered as an exceptional woman with a heart of gold. Her generous nature and infectious smile will have a lasting impact on all those who have met her. She always put others ahead of herself, making her loved by many. Meeting her once, you felt as if you knew her your whole life which led to many long term friendships.
She will be missed, leaving a large void in her husband and children's lives and hearts. May God bless her, and if anyone is to be fast-tracked to Heaven, it would be Lynn.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 13th, 2021, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 14th, 2021 at 12 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lynn's name to the American Cancer Society.
