Marie E. Pucci

HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Marie E. Pucci, 94, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1990 and formerly of Yonkers, died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Pines of Poughkeepsie surrounded by her family.

Born in Manhattan on July 20, 1918, she was the daughter of Peter and Lucy Petrillo DePetris. Marie was a parishioner of St. Columba Church and enjoyed knitting and sewing, and was an avid New York Yankees fan. She truly loved spending time with her family and was an intricate part of their lives. She will always be remembered as a wonderful, caring, loving mother and grandmother and we will miss her sense of humor.

On April 28, 1934 in Maryland, Marie married Ralph Pucci who predeceased her on October 11, 1984. She is survived by her children, Joan Doherty of Hopewell Junction and Ralph Pucci and wife Pamela of Stormville; her grandchildren, Frank and Tracey Doherty, Brian and Lizanne Doherty, Darren and Melanie Doherty, and Jacqueline Pucci; her great-grandchildren, Adam, Sara, Alex, Ryan, Evan, Cara and Anya; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Nicholas Pucci, in 1990.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Pat Garbowski, Dr. Ann Mulvey and the wonderful staff at the Pines for their loving comfort, care and love.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:45am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
