POUGHKEEPSIE - Marion Gertrude Mannain, 77 passed away September 9, 2014 at home after a battle with Cancer and MS peacefully surrounded by her children. She was born on August 15, 1937, the daughter of Charles & Marion DeMatteo Shade. A Graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, she was married to Howard Mannain on July 12 1957. He pre-deceased her. She was a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie. Loving mother of Sharon and Laurie who preceded her death, son: Charles Mannain and daughters: Susan Mannain and Andrea Maserjian, her grandaughter, Hannah; grandson Liam; sister, Barbara Shade, nieces, Barbara Ravettine and Kimberley Grant and nephews, David Ravettine and David J. Grant. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at St Augustine Church, 55 Main Street, Highland NY at 10:00 am Friday September 12, 2014. Burial will follow in the family plot in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to SPCA. Arrangements are under the direction on Wm. G.
