Mark Modesto Obituary
Wappingers Falls - Mark A. Modesto, a longtime area resident, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at his residence. He was 51.
The son of Walter and Elizabeth Miko Modesto, who survive at home in Wappingers Falls, Mark was born in Aurora, Illinois on July 17, 1962. Mark was a General Contractor and owner of M M Renovations. He loved music and especially playing the guitar and repairing guitars.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his daughter, Renee E. Modesto of Wappingers Falls; his brother, Matthew J. Modesto of Fishkill; his nieces, Chelsea McCarroll, Santina Light and his nephew, Abram Light.
Mark was predeceased by his sister, Elisa B. Williams on May 1, 2013.
The family will receive their friends on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. The funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Although seeing this name at the top of an obituary fills me with deep sadness, hearing the name, Mark Modesto, will continue to always put a smile on my face as it has for over 25 years...nothing but good thoughts, many good times, many great memories...rest peacefully old friend xoxo my condolences to Mr & Mrs Modesto and Matt with the loss of both Mark and Lisa this year...a special hug to Renee PS: I am the one who introduced your parents to each other back in the early 90's

We love you and are praying for you and family. I find myself recalling fond memories, mostly from younger years. I always remember when Mark was quite young playing me "Stairway to Heaven" on his guitar while we were all on vacation in Maine. He made it there before we did.
