Mary "Bobbie" Roberta Lowery
Poughkeepsie - Mary "Bobbie" Roberta Lowery, of Poughkeepsie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 87.
She was born in Yonkers NY, on June 17, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Irene S. Wallin.
On September 10, 1949 she married the late Michael J. Lowery Jr., in Freeport, LI.
Mary is survived by her daughters; Mary Foglietta and husband, Joseph of Poughkeepsie; Michele Hutton and husband, Richard, of Manassas VA; Alice Lowe and husband, David of Wappinger Falls; Patricia Dolfinger and husband, James of Staatsburg NY. Sons; Michael W. Lowery and partner, Kathy Kapka of Poughkeepsie, Joseph P. Lowery and wife Denise, of Red Hook; and son in law, Norman Tyler of Pleasant Valley.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; Andrew John Tyler of Longmont CO, Patrick Michael Tyler of Poughkeepsie, Sara Mary Folglietta of Poughkeepsie, Aaron Michael Foglietta of Poughkeepsie, Anthony Dylan Foglietta of Becket MA, Chelsea Michele Hutton of McLain VA, Candice Rae Hutton of Washington DC, Jesse Daniel Lowe of Tivoli NY, Krystal Danielle Lowe of Wappingers Falls, Nikki Amanda (Lowe) Vitale of Hopewell Jct, Jaime Lynne (Lowe) Ryan of Wappingers Falls, Arlene Marie Lowery, Jayson Michael Lowery, Angela Gabrielle (Lowery) Soles, Jacob Matthew Lowery all of Jacksonville FL, Aubrie Pamela, Olivia Mary & Julia Linda Dolfinger all of Staatsburg.
In addition to her 18 grandchildren, she is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and sister & brother in law Alan & Gail Pine.
Mary was predeceased by her daughter Linda Mary Tyler, husband Michael J. Lowery Jr.; sisters; Isabele Day, Irene Loudon; brothers, Walter (Brud), John & George Wallin; sisters in law; Marie (Cidy) Byrne, Alice Lemischak and Edna Neidig.
Mary attended The Wood Business School in New York, NY where she received her diploma for the Executive Secretarial Program in 1949.
Mary worked for Arlington Central School district as secretary in the guidance office as well as the library retiring in 1994.
After retiring, Mary volunteered her time with the Saint Francis Womens Auxillary and also Vassar Brothers hospital for many years. Mary was a long time member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church.
Mary always enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all those who knew, loved and laughed with her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
