Otto Spaulding Obituary
Beacon - Otto Spaulding, 87, took his final journey at home on January 8, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Myra Spaulding, his four children: Wayne (Mary-Ellen), Colleen, Eric, Neal (Sallie), his step-son, Charlie (Heather), his grandchildren: Cassia, Sean, Tommy, Gideon, Danielle, Charles, Brandon, Corey, and great-grandson Hayden, along with his sister, Jean and his brother, Cal, several nieces, nephews, extended family and his long-time friends. Otto loved his family and friends, smiled a lot and had a great sense of humor. He served in the Army from 1949 - 1955, worked for Sikorsky Aircraft and then IBM for 35+ years. Otto loved to fly planes, ride motorcycles, discuss quantum physics, engineering, politics and has read every book Isaac Asimov ever wrote. One of his favorites was "The Collapsing Universe." The funeral service to celebrate Otto's life will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00am at Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, NY 12508. Rather than flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in honor of Otto, or to Hudson Valley Hospice https://www.hvhospice.org/index.php/foundation/donate/ in Otto's name, as they were an amazing support system to Otto and his family.

I just learned of Ottos passing today while catching up on my Pok journal reading.
I remember him well from the old days when we worked together. He was quite an interesting person.... Pretty cool guy.

Gpa Otto was always a joy to be around and to laugh with. He made you feel comfortable the second you walked into a room and he always had a smile on his face. The love he had for everyone was amazing and he will be missed for many years to come. Gpa Otto you will be missed and loved for so many years and we will never forget you. without you I wouldn't have the Dad I have today and I thank you for that.
