I remember Paul fondly. He was a sweet man. Singing and taking part in the Vets of Albany Choir, the bell group and the veteran competition, brought him so much joy.

Paul was a kind man who always reached out to his fellow veterans on the nursing home unit in a personal way. "Amazing Grace" and "When you're Smiling" he loved to sing and so many more. Paul sang in the Vets of Albany choir. It was a way for him to connect with veterans that did not reside on the unit and to share in creativity and singing and all the positive aspects that go along with that experience. He also participated in the bell group and was delighted to know he could be successful by playing the shortest bells. Paul had a good sense of humor that he shared with everyone. I believe, despite his own physical challenges, being apart of these groups and supporting his fellow vets brought him much joy. I miss him, he brings a smile to my heart. Paul may you rest in peace and join the singing angels. Rachelle, Music Therapist

My sympathies to Paul's family. I knew Paul for many years as I worked at the VA and now volunteer on the community living Center. Paul and I spent many hours playing cribbage, sharing recipes and cooking tips and talking about old movies. Paul was a kind and generous man who always looked out for the other vets and he will be missed. I will miss our conversations and his great sense of humor. May he rest in peace.
