I am saddened that I didn't know about Peter's passing before now. I have such fond memories of him guiding me as we worked together at USI. While our paths didn't cross physically, he always had time to talk through an issue, share his wisdom and give me the sense that he cared truly about his profession and helping others. He was a true gentleman and mentor.

Peter was one of my oldest friends, and I will miss him. Even though we lived most of our lives on opposite coasts, we remained friends who could immediately resume the comfort of familiarity, understanding and love despite long periods when we neither saw one another or even spoke on the telephone. I thought that I would always be able to speak with him even if it was at the ends of a telephone connection. I will miss him.
I first crossed paths with Peter in college. He was returning to complete his undergraduate education, and I was in the process of leaving. He was then as he remained throughout his life a person of substance and calm good humor (except after a particularly bad golf shot) upon whom I knew I could rely in a pinch. I will miss him.
Peter had a classical education on which he could readily call but which he never displayed to pump himself up. He needed no such inflation because he could appreciate who he was. To me he was a dear friend whose company always warmed me. I will miss him.

There are no words to express the sadness I feel for your loss. Although I did not know Mr. Dranginis, I am a friend of Luke's and know how much he meant to everyone. He sounds like he was an absolutely amazing man.
I am deeply sorry for your loss.
