Peter David Knickerbocker

Pine Plains - Peter David Knickerbocker, of Pine Plains, New York, born on March 26, 1939, to the late Anna Bryan Knickerbocker and the late Ralph Knickerbocker, passed away at age 79 on January 23, 2019, in Madisonville, Tennessee. Pete attended Dutchess Community College, served in the Army Reserves, and was a salesman by trade. Pete is survived by his wife, June Lund and by his children, David Smallwood, Joanne Smallwood, Carey Greene, and Amy Darling along with his brother, Cal Knickerbocker, sister, Betsy Hess, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pete was an avid sportsman and loved playing golf, fishing, baseball, basketball, and softball. He had a warm, fun-loving personality, was always joking, and talked to everyone. His years "on the road" won him friends all over NY, CT, and MA. Pete and June moved to TN where they enjoyed spending time with friends and family in retirement. The family requests donations in Pete's name in lieu of flowers to The Parkinson's Foundation www.parkinson.org or Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

I send sincere sympathies to Pete's family. I used to babysit for his kids at softball games in Pine Plains. He was a Great guy! Rest in Peace.
