Uncle Pete was a wonderful, loving uncle with a huge heart. He was a pillar in our family and we will all miss him dearly. His love of poetry and Irish verse inspired a love of the written word in our family. Love you, Uncle Pete ~ Lizzie

I had the good fortune to know and work with Pete when I was a PAC Coordinator with NYSUT. Pete had a great deal of knowledge and experience when we would hold our regional and statewide PAC meetings. Many valued Pete's opinions and expertise.

What I always enjoyed about Pete was that, like me, Pete brought his New England sports loyalties with him when he moved to NY. We often discussed the Red Sox and were thrilled when the Sox beat the Yankees in 2004 and then went on to win the world series!!

May Pete rest in peace and I extend my sympathies to his family. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the wake on November 9th.

Pete was a tireless advocate for New York state students, teachers, and the unions that worked on their behalf. For many years I saw first hand his hard work and dedication to the above groups. His passing is a huge loss for those who care about preserving quality education in New York.
