Priscilla Vonder Heide

Fishkill - Priscilla Vonder Heide, a longtime resident of Fishkill and formerly of Croton and Old Saybrook, Connecticut, entered into rest on August 7, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 92 years old.

Priscilla was born on October 9, 1924 in Peekskill, the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys Conklin Palmer. On July 3, 1943 she married Rudolph Vonder Heide, Sr. Mr. Vonder Heide predeceased Priscilla. Priscilla was an active member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Old Saybrook, CT. She was also a member of the Sassy Seniors and Happy Hoofers in Old Saybrook. In the 1950's she was a leader in the Girl Scouts and belonged to several bowling leagues in Croton.

Priscilla is survived by her children, Jacqueline Miller of Beacon and Rudolph Vonder Heide, Jr. and his companion, Anne of Peekskill; her grandchildren, Eric Miller, Henry Miller, Patti Edwards and Rudolph M. Vonder Heide; her 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Croman of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Priscilla was predeceased by her brother, Edward Palmer; her granddaughter, Cheryl Miller; and her son-in-law, Ronald Miller.
