Robert Buzga Obituary
Hyde Park - Robert T. Buzga, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Buzga was born on July 2,1936, in Sharon, PA, the son of Josef and Sophia Olivkova Buzga.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Buzga was predeceased by his siblings, Frank, Bedrich, Joseph, John, Aldrich, Mary Yourga, Olga Nicola and Hermina Carson, and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Guarnieri Powers and Patricia "Buffy" Guarnieri, and twin grandsons, Warren and Robert Nuss.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarah; children, Kara, Kimberly (Warren) Nuss, Evelyn, Robert (Janna) and James (Alesia) and grandchildren, Gerry and Carly O'Brien, and Morgan and Brooke Buzga. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Josephine Brewster; in-laws, William and Mary Carson, Frank Guarnieri, Fred and Patricia Guarnieri, Harold and Elizabeth Guarnieri, James and Marilu Guarnieri, Margaret and James Isman, Philip Guarnieri, and David and Marilyn Guarnieri; plus, many nieces and nephews.
He was a hard worker and held many jobs including H.J.Heinz, where he was employed as a chemist and I.B.M. where he retired as an engineer, after 27 years. He remained very active in his community and volunteered for many organizations including Pop Warner Football; Regina Coeli Bingo; Elks Club Bingo; St. Francis Hospital and most recently, Mended Hearts. He was equally as" committed to his family and enjoyed spending time traveling and attending events with them. He remains the "Cribbage Master". His love, encouragement and support of his family was unconditional. He was a longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park.
Calling hours will be from 4:30 to 8 Pm, Friday, March 9th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Morris at 10 am, Saturday, March 10th at Regina Coeli Church, Route 9, Hyde Park.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Just learned of Bobs death at Mass. ((I was away) I offered my Mass for him.
Bob was a joyous soul!
Always a delight to be in his -his humor flowed ever so cleverly!
Bob was a faithful volunteer- in his Church and the Knights.
