Sadie Giorgio Obituary
WAPPINGERS FALLS - Sadie Giorgio, 89, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1996 and formerly of Carmel, Mamaroneck and Port Chester, died on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Renaissance Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hyde Park.
Born in Port Chester on June 29, 1924, she was the daughter of John and Caterina LaBella. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and enjoyed bowling with several different local leagues.
On October 30, 1949 in Port Chester, Sadie married Joseph Giorgio who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Catherine Hamman and husband Dale of Modesto, CA, Nicholas Giorgio and wife Patti of Wappingers Falls, Joseph Giorgio and wife Deborah of LaGrange, Stephen Giorgio of LaGrange,CA, John Giorgio of Modesto, CA and James Giorgio of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Carmella Russo of Florida; her grandchildren, Elisa Giorgio, Daniel and Debby Hamman and Emily and Chris Howard; and her great-grandchildren, Davonn Giorgio, Camden Giorgio, Cordelia Hamman and Keeley Howard. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dominic and Vito LaBella.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at the Renaissance Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and support.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel followed by interment in Raymond Hill Cemetery.

To the entire Giorgio family. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. I met Sadie many years ago when she and Joe came to Modesto. Even though I only saw her a handful of times she was very kind to me. I'm sure she is looking down at her wonderful family. She would be so proud of her children and the truly good people they are. God bless her on her new journey with God.
