Frankie. We continue to miss you. Driving by your wonderful restaurants which is now a bike shop breaks our heart. We called you friend, and my boy Charley loved you. My husband has now joined you. I hope you´re eating pizza pie in heaven with him.

I didn't know mr. Mazzamuto very well. All I know is his kind, courteous, professional manner, along with the great food he made, and the way he was so friendly to my young daughter whenever we stopped in. We will miss him. We are deeply sorry for his family and friends.

I went to Francesco's about half a dozen times when I would visit my dad, Stanley Katz and his wife Josephine Orlando. Frankie and Val were like friends to my dad and so very warm to me. The food was amazingly delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. My dad had to move away to a memory care unit a number of years ago and so it's been awhile since I've been to Rhinebeck. I just found out about Frankie passing and want to send my deepest condolences to the family. He touched many lives. The first year my dad had to move my brother and I called the restaurant to see if they could deliver some food to Josephine's apartment (she doesn't drive and had serious health problems). Frankie, in spite of his very busy schedule, brought Josephine a meal that raised her spirits and that she still remembers fondly. I appreciate that loving and generous nature. You all were blessed.

As a long time patron of Francescas, Frankie will be missed by everyone. I admired his enthusiasm and warm genuine greeting whenever we came in. No matter how busy he was, he would always look up and say "hello Sir" . He never knew our name, but he made us feel welcome and that he was truly glad to see us. His culinary treasures are undeniably the best in the county. A good, warm, gentle man. May he rest in Eternal Peace.

My family and I had the great pleasure to meet Frank years ago when he owned and operated "My Place" in Wappingers, NY. He was a gentle man who always had a smile,a warm hello . . . and made a hell of a pizza. Our hearts and thoughts are with the Mazzamuto family during this time of grieving. We find comfort in the knowledge that Frank's kindness, compassion and spirit will live on through those he has left behind. God Bless you!

My family has been a patron of Francesa"s for at least 18 years. It is easy to say that Frankie touched each of us in different ways. Always and I mean always he went above and beyond, frequently surprising us with his famous caponata with our pizza take out because he knew we loved it. His kindness and cheerfulness always brightened our day when we saw him? He will be truly missed in this family and this community. Prayers and love to the entire family.
