Thyra Anderson Obituary
POUGHKEEPSIE - Thyra "Sugar" Anderson transition home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2014. She was a devoted hard working lady for the State of New York as a Developmental Aide, then transferred and became a Mental Health Therapy Aide; until her retirement in 2011. Thyra was proceeded by her mother Yvonne Anderson, father Thomas Anderson and brother Terrance Anderson. She is survived by her children whom she birthed and from her heart; Michael Anderson, Charmin Getter and partner, Jamel Bell, RaVaè Grant and spouse, Tracie Spencer, and Jennifer Mangone. She is also survived by her grandchildren Janessa Burden and fiance Niquinn Grant, Jalana Burden, Kyla Spencer, Celeste Scott, Xavier Boone, Khalik Collins, Semaj Anderson; and great-grandson Kaiden Grant as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews. Thyra is loved by many and her laugh and smile, will forever be in our hearts. WE LOVE YOU SUGAR!! Visitation will be from 1-2 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2014 and a service at 2pm in the Wm. G. I send my condolences to a Beautiful Angel's Family. She was always special and respectful and sweet when I waited on her at the Prescription counter at K-Mart. Being a pharmacist there for 15 years till I retired;I always brightened up when Thyra came.
I know that one day we will meet again; and may her family heal and the goodness that she produced follow her to Heaven.
