Robert Edward Sweitzer, 91, of Lanark, IL, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021.
He was born June 13, 1930 in Mt. Carroll, IL, to parents Edward K. and Edna (Applegate) Sweitzer. Bob was a farmer his whole life and worked the family farm with his brother Frank. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cookouts and parties in the timber where many friends and family would gather. Riding motorcycles on the trails was a favorite past time of his. He also would play his Hawaiian guitar when we played our music together. He became known for having many peacocks that ran freely on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: LeRoy, Leonard, Oliver, and Franklin; and a sister, Harriet Genandt.
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
No services are being held at this time. Burial at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Lanark.
