I really loved seeing his face every year at the Kanapaha Veteran’s Day Memorial. I’m going to miss him and think of him every time I go back.

To Duane’s family, may I express my most sincere condolences. He was an amazing and wonderful human being. I met Duane at Michigans Own museum in Frankenmuth and was very fortunate to have had a short conversation with him. My prayers go out to each of you as you remember good times with him.

I am so sorry about the loss of U.S. Marine Duane Dewey. The courage that he had was unbelievable and he will never be forgotten by family or friends. The Dewey family has my deepest condolences and I pray that you will be surrounded continuously with love and support.
