Adam Lord Obituary

ADAM L. LORD
of Owego
Adam L. Lord, 27, died suddenly on June 11, 2001, in a motor vehicle accident. His loving companion, Samantha Stone also died in the accident. Adam was born on September 20, 1973, in Johnson City, a son of Judy Jarvis Lord and the late Arthur L. Lord. He attended Newark Valley Schools and Broome Tioga BOCES. In addition to his mother Judy Lord, Newark Valley, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Jackie Lord, Cortland; Samatha's children, Michael, Marcus and Malerie Stone; his grandparents, Arthur and Virginia Lord, Fla., Wallace and Margaret Jarvis, Owego; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Adam was a talented handyman who loved life, fast cars and fast motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services and a celebration of Adam's life will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. Rev. Margaret Chauncey, Pastor of the Flemingville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Weltonville Fire Dept or the Flemingville Untied Methodist Church in loving memory of Adam L. Lord.
