Spolsky, Barbara (George)

Barbara (George) Spolsky, 75, of Longport, New Jersey, died November 26, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Binghamton, New York, Barbara was predeceased by her parents, George and Mildred George. Barbara was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and Broome Community College. Barbara is survived by her husband and soulmate of 53 years, Thomas Spolsky, and two daughters Kendra (Chris) Curtis of Chester, PA., and Georgia (Mike) Ward of Enola, PA. Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, the joys of her life: Michael and Corey Ward, and Marissa, Austin, Macalla, Dima, and Quinten Curtis. Additionally, Barbara leaves behind three sisters: Elaine George of Sarasota, FL; Judy (Tom) Mazzanoble of Binghamton, NY; and Gail George of Kirkwood, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Loving and living life to the fullest, Barbara enjoyed fashion and opened her own boutique in Linwood, New Jersey. Barb welcomed family and friends into her home and received much pleasure from planning family events. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara's life celebration on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from·9:00 a.m, - 11:00 a.m. at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home in Northfield, New Jersey. Services and internment will follow at Seaside Cemetery in New Jersey. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Barbara's name either to St. Jude's Hospital or Kindred Hospital, 2000 West Chenango Pike, Havertown, PA 19083: Attention: Madelyn Etza (610) 536-2100. Dear Tom, Georgie, and Kendra

It's a very rare occasion when someone as special as Barbara crosses your life's path and makes your journey so much richer. We have been so blest to have been in her presence, shared in her laughter, experience her upbeat approach to life, and be left in stitches as she was telling one of her many hilarious(but true)stories. She will be missed, but thought of often with bit of a fond reflective smile on our faces.

Aunt Barbara! I will always remember all the "bad" food you let me eat that my mom would not let me eat! Choc covered donughts! Tahitian Punch soda!! I have many great memories of the old house/pool. Well not so great memories of Georgie forcing me to jump off the diving board, I hated that. ha but the rest of our trips were great! Rest in peace! You will be missed.
