Charles W. McFadden Sr.
of Maine, N.Y.Charles W. McFadden Sr., 70, of Maine, N.Y., joined his loving wife, Leah J. McFadden, in heaven on Tuesday January 28, 2003. He was also predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Beatrice McFadden. He is survived by his loving children, son, Charles McFadden Jr., Maine, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Mischelle and James Dattoria, Conklin; and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Nicholas Dattoria, with whom he shared a very special bond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Diane McFadden, and Thomas and Betty McFadden. Everyone who knew Chuck knew of his love for nature and his reputation nationally for raising championship Basset Hounds. He also very much enjoyed his grandchildren's sporting events. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Robert Sorensen will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, where full military honors will be accorded by the Broome County Veterans Memorial Association. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m, Thursday, at the funeral home.
