Clarence C. Stevens Jr. "CC", passed away on September 26, 2016 after a brief illness with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence & Dorothy Stevens. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Stevens; daughters, Connie & Ronald Palmer, Cynthia & Michael Thomas, Aimee & Kevin Dailey; 4 grandchildren, Kyle & Kara Palmer, Skylar & Michaela Thomas; two sisters, Marjorie & Nicholas Branca, Florence Decker; brother, Gary & Kristina Stevens; several nieces and nephews. Clarence was a retired New York State Trooper for 28 years. He was a technician at the Board of Elections and an active member of the Elk Lodge #70. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Christ Church, Binghamton. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. The Lodge of Sorrow service will take place at 6:30 pm during calling hours. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Elks Drug Awareness, 1309 US Rt 11 Kirkwood, NY 13795.

Uncle Jr - I hope you knew how many people loved and thought the world of you! Your smile, sense of humor, warmth, generosity, kindness, sense of adventure were just some of the attributes that made us love you dearly! You were the first man I remember dancing with - at the ripe old age of 4 or 5! You gave the best hugs! I always looked forward to spending time with you! I think one of the biggest impacts you made in my life was the understanding that making memories with those you love, doing things that you love is what brings us the greatest joy in our lives. I will always carry that belief with me. I want to celebrate your life as that is what I believe you would want me to do. As Nick mentioned, No Fuss, No Muss - your mantra. You never seemed to stress out about anything. I loved you dearly and always will!!

When I was trying to rebuild Norwich Elks Lodge, CC was there for guidance and support. Without his belief and trust in me along with all his help and support our Lodge along with myself would not be where we are today. Anytime I was at a gathering, whether it be an Elks function or private party, he always made me laugh and entertained or try to get me in trouble in other ways which I won't get into..LOL! I will miss that!

I am deeply saddened and will miss him very much.
