Donald Spangenburg Obituary
Donald William Spangenburg, age 87 was called home by his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 64 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Dale Burrell and Diane and Bruce Ryder; two sons, William Spangenburg and Dennis Spangenburg; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Don was a long-time member of Grace Point Church (fka Twin Orchards Baptist Church). He was retired from Vail Ballou Press. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an avid outdoorsman. Services will be held on July 9, 2015 at Grace Point Church, 3701 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Point Church Benevolent in Don's memory.

To the entire Spangenburg Family my deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your beloved Don. It has been wonderful knowing all of you from the time you joined Twin Orchards Baptist Church. Its been our loss when he was no longer able to attend because of poor health. Your all in my prayers. God bless and keep you in His care until that day when you too will join him.

It was my honor to have met Don and his lovely family back in the 70's when my wife and I attended Twin Orchard's Baptist Church. We cherish the wonderful memories of family activities and fellowships with all family members with the Spangenburg family. We send our condolences, and pray for God's peace to rest upon all during this time of reflection. This past soldier salutes you Don, for your service in the Marines and in the King's service.
