Edward "Eddie " Coppedge was the most honest, hard working and sincere individual I ever had the pleasure of being a colleague. Eddie led as union president USW Lu. 8888 in the most trying times of any union. He was confronted by the anti-worker activities of the company, racism and attacks on his character, family and supporters and friends. yet he stood tall and performed his duties. I was there as his Steelworker Representative in the early days. Eddie you will be missed and will always be my Comrade, Brother and Friend. REST IN PEACE my brother.
