Elizabeth Malloy Obituary
Endicott: Elizabeth "Anne" Malloy, 80 of Endicott, passed away on March 4, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital after a brief illness. Anne was born November 8, 1930 in Flushing, NY, the daughter of John and Evelyn Grenfell. She married James W. Malloy on June 21, 1952. She is survived by her loving husband and ten children, Mary (Gary) Cole, Kathleen (Gary) Chapman, Susan (Richard) Erdle, Michael, Elizabeth (John) Brislen, Theresa, James (Connie), Gerard (Mary), Peter (Tiffany), and Melanie (Michael) Sheets. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Laper, and Claire O'Regan, and brothers, John, James and Michael Grenfell. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph, her parents, John and Evelyn Grenfell, four siblings, Joseph, Peter, Susan, and Jane Grenfell. Anne will be missed by her 21 loving grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She devoted over 20 years to her work with the SOS Shelter for women. Though she was busy with her family and career, Anne always found time to help others. She was an active member of St. Ambrose Church, where she taught CCD classes, volunteered in the soup kitchen, and was a Eucharistic minister. Anne was loved dearly by family and friends and all who knew her. A Funeral mass will be offered Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Ambrose Church Endicott. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc, 300 East Main St., Endicott Monday from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Anne's memory7 to St. Ambrose Soup Kitchen, 203 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY 13760, or SOS Shelter, 1201 E. Main St. Endicott, NY 13760.

Anne and I met when we were working at the SOS Shelter. We became friends and kept in touch after I left the Shelter.
