Ellen Dunn Obituary
Johnson City - Ellen Sara Dunn, 102, of Johnson City, NY went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Ezra and Lida Gunderman, husband Kenneth Dunn Sr., daughter Pricilla Dunn, son Kenneth Dunn Jr. and wife Carol; Sisters; Lucy Rivenburg and Barbara Spangenburg of Binghamton, NY. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Lewis and son-in-law George of Apex, NC and Bradenton, FL. Grandchildren; Connie (Stuart) Haithcock of Greenville, NC, Chris Verdon of Cary, NC, Rob (Cindy) Verdon of Apex, NC, Darla Dunn of Bristol, CT, Cheryl (Harold) Forrest of Barton, NY, Sheila (Ron) Weaver of Hopewell Junction, NY, Kimberly Stephens of South Point, OH. Great Grandchildren; Wiley Haithcock, Callie McVicker, Matthew Verdon, Brittainy Stein, Ambrielle Weaver, Nicholas Stephens, Allison Gibree, Holly Stephens. Great Great Grandchildren; Liliana and Matthew Stein, Wiley and Parker Haithcock. Very special friends; Joyce Miller and John (Kim) Jacobs. Her passion in life was cooking, baking, sewing and helping family and friends. She provided a loving home for many dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening and growing all kinds of flowers. She loved going to all kinds of sales with friends. Many thanks to the Hospice team of Bradenton, FL for providing excellent care of her. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Tidwell Hospice Philanthropy Dept., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or a charity of your choice. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family will be holding a private Celebration of Life Service at their convenience.

Grandma,
How I adore you. You bought much joy to my life. The time we spent together was never wasted. I learned so much from you. You were responsible for so many fond memories. I was blessed to not only have your as my Grandmother but also my best friend. We had so many great adventures shopping, gardening, berry picking, Christmas light “peeping” and the list goes on and on. How i loved to see you smile. May that smile be present today in Heaven.
To my wonderful Aunt Mary,
Your love and care for “Gma” these past 15 years never went unnoticed. As her needs increased you never gave up. Your constant and faithful service to your mother was and still is a model for all to follow.
May God Bless this family as we mourn our loss and yet be comforted his divine plan for us all.
