Floyd Jake Fancher, Jr.
of Culpeper, Va.Floyd Jacob Fancher, Jr., 83, of Culpeper, died October 18, 2002, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 6, 1919, in Johnson City, N.Y., to the late Floyd Jacob Fancher, Sr. and Maude Morey Fancher. Mr. Fancher was a member of Round Hill Lodge #533 in Endicott, N.Y., for 45 years and was a member of Union Endicott High School Booster Club. He was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church and a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. Mr. Fancher was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Flick Fancher, Culpeper; and three sons, Richard L. Fancher and his wife Jacqueline, Culpeper, Michael R. Fancher and his wife Yvonne, Clayton, N.C, and Floyd J. Fancher III and his wife Becky, Camarillo, Calif. Mr. Fancher is also survived by seven grandchildren, Margaret A. Kokoszka and her husband Michael, Warrenton, Deborah M. Payne and her husband Darryl, Woodbridge, Christopher Fancher, Atlanta, Ga., Matthew Fancher, Ft. Meyers Beach, Fla., Yvette Fisher, Clayton, N.C., Jennifer Fancher, Ft. Meyers Beach, Fla., and Michelle Highsmith and her husband Clay, Bryon, Ga.; eight great-grandchildren, Sierra and Ryan Kokoszka, Lauren and Brandon Payne, Katelyn and Sarah Fisher, Andrew Highsmith, and Cameron Fancher. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edwin D. Fancher; and two sisters, Gladys Dewar and Margaret Hillburger. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Crawford III, officiating. Interment will follow in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
