of Afton, N.Y.Frances W. Birdsall died February 7, 2002 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City. She was a college graduate and for a short time taught school. She is survived by her husband, William Birdsall, Afton, Sandra Jordan, Guilford, Regina Birdsall, Afton, Janet Birdsall, Norfolk, Va., Robert and Cathy Birdsall, Afton, Kenneth and Patricia Birdsall, Purdys, N.Y., Thomas Birdsall, Chenango Bridge and Charles and Sharon McFarland, Poway, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Gates, Campbell Hall, N.Y.; and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her son, William Birdsall, Jr. in 1976. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dorothy Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Afton, N.Y. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 11, at 12 noon at the Dorothy Memorial Home and at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Afton at 1 p.m. with Father Donald Bourgeois officiating at a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton.
