Galdys Schnurbusch Obituary

Gladys Maryetta Schnurbusch
Formerly of Binghamton
Gladys M. Schnurbusch, 90, died peacefully on July 31, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. Gladys was born on August 23, 1919, in Waverly, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Binghamton, New York. Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, John V. Schnurbusch, in 2007. She is survived by her loving son, David, of Combine,Texas, and daughter, Barbara, of Lawrence, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Dustin, Renee, and Rachael, great granddaughter, Ava; and a host of nieces and nephews. Retirement took Gladys and John to Bradenton, Florida, in 1984, where they spent many years enjoying friends, social events and the beautiful outdoors. Gladys was a wonderful homemaker, cook and baker. Faith, family and friends were among her greatest treasures. The kindness shown in her face, her eyes, her smile and the warmth of her heart will always be treasured. Although her gentle soul and loving heart have been stilled, she will never be forgotten.
In keeping with her wishes, Gladys was cremated with internment at Roselawn Cemetery in Seagoville, Texas. No services were held.

The vivid memories of you are still very much in my thoughts. My life continues to be directed by the guidance that you and dad instilled in me on a daily basis. I pray you and dad are at peace in your new home and blessed with beauty each and every day. I love you. David

Mom: You and Dad passed on to me how to live life in a loving, trusting, confident manner and i love you so much for those teachings. The love and compassion you surrounded me with will last a lifetime. I miss you both so very much but i know that you have again found each other and are blessed by the strength, peace and grace of our lord for eternity. Continue to watch over me and know my Love for you both will be forever. The memories of your long and abundant lives brings some comfort to me but there is a tremendous void. Your loving son

I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Gladys .. .. spending time with her at holidays and birthdays, watching her bake and waiting for that cookie or piece of cake. I missed them when they moved but we kept in
touch through the years. Aunt Gladys was truly a kind and gentle lady. Take comfort in knowing that she had a long and happy life and is no longer in pain but at peace. We send you all our love and sympathy.
