Gordon Krise
of Newport, N.C.Gordon Krise, 60, of Newport, N.C., died Monday, November 11, 2002. He was a veteran, serving one tour in Vietnam. He attended Emmanuel Independent Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He earned an associate degree in Business Administration and retired from Winn-Dixie. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sue Krise; daughters, Lori Freeman, Endicott, N.Y., Virginia Owens, Fla., and Korina Quick and husband Jay Quick, Kirkwood, N.Y.; sons, Scott Krise and wife Lori Krise, Richmond, Va. and Gordon Krise Jr., Jacksonville, N.C.; his mother, Barbara J. Hrib, New Bern, N.C.; and a sister, Sharon J. Grodevant, New Bern, N.C.; and mother-in-law, Betty Morton, Binghamton, N.Y.; also three grandchildren; five sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Krise. Services will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Harpursville Baptist Church, Harpursville, N.Y. Burial will be at a later date in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, N.Y.
