He is predeceased by his mother, Carol A. Pace and his grandparents, Pasqualina & Curlind Pace and Mary and Angelo Miele. He is survived by his one true love, soul mate and wife of nearly 20 years, Cheryl (Pachz), his dedicated father, Jim Pace, sister and brother-in-law Pam (Pama) and Patrick (Veep), niece Maruianna (Maur Maur), nephew Patrick (Patch) VanPutte, Uncle Ricky (Favorite), Aunt Cindy (Aunt Cinday), cousins Anthony (Ant) and Nicki (Nickthony)Pace; his inlaws Barb (Barb Cat) and Tom (Tom Cat) Steveskey, Mark (Marques) and Dee (Dee Rock) Steveskey, Lynn (Lindee), Chris (Ezzer), Alexis (Lexer) and Christopher (Toph) Esworthy and Scott (Scotty to hotty) Steveskey, several other relatives and faithful friend, Brian Donholt who sat with Jimmy for countless hours during his illness. Jimmy was a car enthuiest, avid softball player earning several MVP's and loved all sports. He was a beautiful person who had a rare gift, where anyone who met him came away with an awesome experience. Thank you to everyone who sent cards and e-mails with well wishes over the past several months and thank you to the staff and Dr. Joseph Reidling at Broome Oncology and to the nurses and hospice personnel on ST5 who made his leaving this world painless and graceful. I met Jimmy February 8th 1989. I loved him since then. To hear of his death was very hard. He called me "five" . I think of him this time every year since I met him, October 21. It is actually "the sweetest day of the year" according to the calendar. I have always missed him, now I will miss him even more. He was an exceptional person. I have so many memories with our short time we knew each other. It is true "only the good die young"....

I met Jimmy and Pachz in 1996 I think when temporarily in Binghamton working with Ken Murray. When first introduced they were so open and accepting as a friend of a friend. I had many happy times in their home and out and about. I've never forgotten them and it is saddening that Jimmy died at the peak of his life. My condolence and best wishes to all his family for this great loss.
