Janet McPeak Obituary
Janet McPeak, 74, of Binghamton, passed away on October 3, 2016. She was fondly known as the "lunch lady" at Chenango Forks Central School District for over 20 years. She was dedicated to the happiness of her co-workers and students and enjoyed EVERY day she was there. During her retirement, she enjoyed her trips to the senior center for dinner and taking day trips for lunch with her husband. She was known to the family as "the navigator", no matter where she went there was always a map in her hand with a route planned. She will be remembered for her quirky sense of humor, her beautiful smile, and her constant humming as she prepared dinner, took care of her family and just loved life. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert McPeak, her children; David and Lisa McPeak, Binghamton, Joseph and Krista McPeak, Chenango Forks, treasured grandchildren Lucas, Jacob and Sierra. As per Janet's wishes funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to Mercy House, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.demunn.com. Arrangements for the family are directed by the DeMunn Funeral Home.
