Joan Holland Obituary
Joan L. Holland, 87, of Johnson City passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Holland; and two brothers, Walter and Leonard Costello. She is survived by her three children and daughter-in-law, William (Tess) Bowers, Jeanine Bowers, Torin Bowers; five grandchildren and their spouses, Justin (Natale) Bowers, Jordon (Amber) Glenn, Joshua (Jessica) Glenn, Joshua Bowers, Jomar Polon; three great grandchildren, Isabella, Josie, Grace and nieces and nephews, Kevin, MaryBeth, Michael, Walter, Keith Costello and their families. Joan was a registered BC Daycare provider for many years. She loved taking care of wee folks and the ailing. She enjoyed going to lunch weekly with her friends the "Merry Widowers" and spending time with her dog, Turk. Friends and family may call at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday from 4PM-7PM. A funeral mass will be offered at 10:30AM Friday at St. James Church, 131 Main St., Johnson City with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. We always enjoyed visiting with Joan when she would come visit Washington DC. Such a sweet lady! She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Mark and Holly Cody.

I knew Joan for years - I worked with her husband in the NYS Labor Department for about 20 years. We had a lot of good times together. Rest in peace Joan.
