John Emerick Obituary
of VestalJohn J. Emerick, 48, of Vestal, passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest Tuesday evening, March 16, 2004. He was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and June Emerick. He is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Stephen Emerick III, Kingston, Pa., Ronald and Laura Emerick, Harpursville, N.Y., James and Patricia Emerick, Binghamton; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Damon Evanek, Vestal; adopted brother and best friend, John S. Madan, Vestal; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. John was an angel from heaven, and was special to everyone he touched in his life. May his heart of gold live on with his family and friends forever.
A funeral service will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery, Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. James Church Memorial Fund, 155 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790, in John J. Emerick's memory.
