John Vanderburg Obituary
Endicott - John E. Vanderburg, 99, of Endicott, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mildred Vanderburg; wife and mother of Nancy, Ruth (Snyder) Vanderburg; his second wife, Bernice (Carden) Vanderburg; brothers, Ben and Ralph Vanderburg; and son-in-law, Bill Major. John is survived by his daughter, Nancy Major; step-daughter, Barbara (Armand) Olevano, step-son, Gary (Rosemary) Carden; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. John served in the U.S. Army Infantry Division during WWII, stationed in France and German; and retired from IBM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Pastor Mark Marino will officiate. Burial will follow in Scott Valley Cemetery in Montdale, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in John's name to the Broome County Veterans Assoc., PO Box 694, Johnson City, NY 13790.

We were sorry to hear of Mr. Vanderburg's passing. We just heard the news yesterday from a neighbor. We bought the Vanderburg house on Woodford in 2009 and still reside there. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
