June L. Haas Keilig

1929 - 2014

WILTON - June L. Haas Keilig was born Feb. 20, 1929 and passed away June 18, 2014 at 85. She was laid to rest June 21, 2014 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton. June married Richard Keilig Sr., her eternal, loving husband in 1969. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Washington D.C. Temple in 1970. June has joined her family in heaven; parents Blanche and William Haas, her sister Dorothy Caswell and loving husband Richard H. Keilig Sr. who passed away Jan. 2013.

Children, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren left behind will miss her deeply; Lisa Keilig Paquette and husband, Steven Paquette and children, Alexander and Cassie Paquette; Joyce Keilig and children, Tricia Albert and Philip LaFlamme; Richard Keilig Jr. and wife, Carol and children, Leslie, Jeffrey, Kelly, Melody and Gregory; Roger Keilig and wife, Carolyn and children, Robert, Pamela and Suzanne; and five great grandchildren.

June graduated from college with honors and proudly served our country as a Wave in the Navy in San Diego, Calif. from 1950 - 1952. She served as Historian in the Hillsboro Legion and was an active member of the "Cloud Busters" square dance group for many years and even had her wedding reception there. June was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Keene and since 1968.

June deeply loved her family and our Mormon Religion and enjoyed spending the day crafting, sewing, quilting, making homemade bread, canning, gardening and doing genealogy. But the things that gave her the most pleasure were her family and church.
