When I see her grand-daughter all I can think of is how much Kathy would just eat her up! Miss seeing her in the parades, I think she had stopped before anyway but I really do think of her each time I see the bagpipes. A genuine loving, caring person that was taken too early! Love you Dave, Tim and family. Doug and Toni Hess

Dear Tommy and all the Sullivan family. I grew up with you in Queens NY and have so many happy warm memories of times spent with the Sullivan family. We've been out of touch for close to a half century. but I've thought of you all often through the years. Thoughts of you again this weekend led me to an Internet search, where I found Kathy on Facebook, and then, sadly, the news that she had so recently passed away.

It's been heartwarming to read the words written by those who knew her over the years, her smile that always lit up the world, her kindnesses and spirit of fun, that she was a nurse and beloved wife and mother. Life takes us on many different paths – some people touch our lives in ways that last a lifetime. So it is with the Sullivans. I cherish the times spent with you all – in Queens and in Vestal NY.

I imagine my mother greeting Kathy with open arms in heaven. She so loved the Sullivan's too. Thinking of you all and sending love and healing prayers.

With love – Margaret Schubert (Maggie Eubanks)

Dear Tim, I am so suprised and saddened to hear about the loss of your lovely mom. I haven't seen either of you in a while, but I will always remember her smile. It literally lit up a room. Tim, someone told me once there is nothing like the "love of a mother." How true this is, and because of this, she will be ingrained in your heart forever. All you need to do is listen to the beat of your heart, and there she will be. My thoughts and prayers are with your and your family. Please if you need anything, just for someone to listen,or a shoulder to cry on, please let me know. Love, Prudy (Mrs. Buck)

Dear Dave, Mrs. Sullivan, John and all the family,
Ellen and I are stunned and deeply saddened by Kathy's sudden passing. I always enjoyed her lively smile. I always remember the very special New York City St. Patrick's Day parade when she recognized me as I was preparing to march in the parade right behind her and Loretta's pipe band. We had a chance to catch up on all the news and have a laugh before we stepped off. A great day I'll always remember.
We're thinking of Dave and all the family during this tragic time,
Love, Tim (Maco) and Ellen McNamara

My heartfelt condolences for your loss. I never felt more excited to work with Kathy on the memorial service at our Seton 40th Class Reunion. for our fallen classmates. Her words of inspiration for each fallen classmate can now be an instrument passed onto her. The tears in everyone's eyes as the bagpipers played "Amazing Grace" is another reminder of her love for us. Rest in peace.

I had a long history with Kathy in our Nursing career. We often worked together as she worked agency the last years of my career. She was one solid, good & smart Nurse. I would want Kathy to be my Nurse if I was ill, that is how much i trusted her in Nursing. What a loss to this world because she was a bright star & truly cared about her patients. I am so shocked & sorry for her family..

To Dave and the Sullivan Clan ... what can I say, she was a great lady! One who made you smile when you were sad or laugh when she thought you should laugh. We spent some great moments. And Kathy as you play your last drum beat I would like you to play it to this poem ...
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done

You will be missed ....

hugs Marilyn and Joe

Dear Mrs. Sullivan and Family,
My mom told me today of this very sad news. Kathy's presence during our high school days at Seton, and at the reunions to follow, were always so full of joy and laughter. Whenever she spoke, I remember her eyes lit up with happiness and her kindness was remarkable. I was so very happy to see you, Mrs. Sullivan, a few weeks ago, after having not seen you for so, so many years. For me, seeing you again was like seeing Kathy, an old and dear friend, and I was so moved by your ever present inner light and joy, which Kathy so obviously inherited from you. You've been a great friend to my mom, and your love and humor has sustained your family and friends throughout their lives, as has Kathy's. I send hugs and love to you and hope to see you again soon in Vestal.

In my mind, Kathy will always be that talkative bubbly teenager who grew in nature and grace with the years. At her SCHS Class of '72 40th reunion, she planned the memorial for her deceased classmates. Now she has joined them in that best of reunions in heaven! My sympathy to Tommy and to the Sullivan clan. You were and, I think, continue to be among the finest to come out of Vestal!
