Kimberly Burrow Obituary

Burrow, Kimberly Sue Hook. Kim Burrow lost her four-month battle with pancreatic cancer and went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2007 at home in Ponder, TX. She was born Sept. 30, 1958 in Wichita, KS. Kim graduated from Wichita North High School in 1976 and Dallas Fashion Merchandising College. She worked in retail sales in Wichita, Dallas, Houston, and Keller in the family Keller Feed Store. For the past six years, she worked at the Southlake Container Store as a sales manager. Kim especially loved spending time with her husband Bruce and son Burley. She enjoyed life and travel, as well as her dogs, chickens and cows. She had a gift for celebration and loved creating happiness for those around her. She celebrated her birthdays for the entire month of September and planned the events all year long. To Kim, life was an exhilarating thrill ride always shared with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Burrow and son Burley; two brothers, Mark Hook and Brad Hook and wife Pam; one sister Becca Collette and husband John; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and an abundance of loving friends. A memorial service 2:30 p.m. Sat., Aug. 4, First Baptist Church, Ponder, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org). To Kim's dear family,
I knew Kim from my 5 years of many visits to the Container Store. From the first time I met Kim with that big smile to the many, many laughs through the years, she was special. As I prepared for my son to leave for college, she shared stories about Burley. I was deeply saddened to learn of your great loss. May her contagious smile and laughter and many fond memories carry you through this very difficult time. You will be in my prayers.
