Louise Marie Letson Steika Born May 14, 1926 Johnson City NY "I met God in the morning" on May 16, 2017. She was predeceased by parents R. Wesley and C. Elizabeth Lowe Letson Brother Donald Letson and Sister Dorothy Letson Briggs. She is survived by her Husband of 68 years Arthur Nils Steika "the wind beneath my wings". Son and Daughter in law Nils Arthur (Karen Ludlam) grandchildren Joan (Stephen Fallon), Sarah (Jay Locke), Nils Jr (Kim); Son Charles Michael Steika; Son and Daughter in law Mark Wesley (Marion Carmichael) grandchildren Hillahn, Roman, Barak, Quartus, Tetiana; Daughter Toots (Lou) Steika. Sister and Brother in Law Joyce (Wayne) Jordan. Great Grandchildren Grace and Nicholas Fallon, Jack and Archer Locke, Elise and Benjamin Steika. Many nieces and nephews. She was employed by IBM and JC schools, plus she was a private music teacher and an organist at Westover United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Louise was a strong woman of great faith, a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Cheerful, enthusiastic, and loving throughout her life. She loved family, friends, church activities, and the time spent at Lawrence View Park, on the St Lawrence River. She, together with Art, was shining example of love and devotion.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 4pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City. The Rev. Eric Jensen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 3pm until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the United Methodist Homes Hilltop Retirement - James G. Johnston Nursing Home Patient Fund 286 Deyo Hill Road Johnson City NY 13790

Louise taught Sunday School for as long as I can remember with joy and enthusiasm that kept the children engaged for learning. Always with a smile and sweet laughter she would teach us all about God's love for every single person. She had a way of making each child feel special for his or her own talents and each and every one of us would leave her program feeling the joy joy joy joy down in our hearts.❤❤
