daCosta, Lucille A.

Lucille A. daCosta, 78 passed away on December 22, 2016. She was born on October 22, 1938. Daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Heggie. Lucille was predeceased by her brother Peter Heggie.

Lucille is survived by her husband Conrad daCosta (Stoney), her son David and Mallory daCosta, and her daughter Kim and Jim Saunders. Lucille is also survived by her sister in-laws Gloria Heggie and Dolores Decelis. Also, surviving Lucille are her grandchildren James and Amy Saunders, Brian and Nicole Saunders, Ashley Saunders, Amelia daCosta, Lincoln daCosta and Silas daCosta. Lucille is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

During her life, Lucille was a member of the United Church of Oxford, and the Oxford Garden Club. She was also a Registered Nurse having attended nursing school at Hackensack School of Nursing. Lucille received a Bachelor's Degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and attended SUNY Morrisville. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing "words with friends" on the computer.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Entombment was in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ on December 24, 2016. Memorial Service for Lucille will be held at the United Church of Oxford on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow.
