Matthew Murray Obituary
Kirkwood: Matthew J. Murray, 22, of Kirkwood, NY, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2012. He is predeceased by his father, Mark Murray; and cousin, Jodie Donahue. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Wascalis; his brother and best friend, Mark; daughter, Novie; grandmother, (Nannie) Mary Wascalis; grandfather, Joseph Wascalis; aunts, Karen Donahue and Patricia (Malcolm) Shaw; cousins, Jill (Marc), Jennifer (Kevin), Jesse (Stacy), Jared, Mallory, Jacob, Caleb; special cousins, Marc, Grace, Mitchell, Claire, Kara, Kaylee, Kamryn and Kevin; his dog, Dallas; and many other friends and family who were very dear to him. Matt was a graduate of Windsor High School where he was a gifted athlete. He loved snowboarding, basketball, football, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Matt also touched other lives through his generous gift of organ donation. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd, at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton.

Lisa, Mark, and family, its been many many years since I've seen any of you. Probably since I was a little kid. I found out about this very late obviously and was not aware that this site was available to the public to make comments. I am heart broken about this. I know from people that the boys were good guys and did good by the people that were in their lives. I have never once forgotten about you all and never will. I love you boys with all my heart. Mark I hope you find some sort of peace and can carry on like your mother and father would want you to. Lisa I have a daughter of my own and couldn't possibly fathom the pain and loss of losing a child. I wish I was around more, for that I am sorry.

We were never close close but you were a damn good kid! I miss blazing gbs in the morning at Kenny D's with the crew! And the day I got ran over on your dirt bike was our last memories together and as bad as it hurt I'd never take it back! Miss you bro!

Lisa,Mark and family, forgive this late posting I tried to post my thoughts yesterday & I don't know what happened. I never had the pleasure of knowing the twins, even though we're family. I left Bing. 19 years ago. I knew Mark and Matt through the newspaper articles of football which I still have and treasure. Lisa, you and your family are in my prayers & I know Matty is in Gods care now. I pray he has been reunited with his Dad, my brother and that together they'll watch over us. God bless you, Mark and your family. I hope to finally meet Mark on my next trip home.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I knew Matt through his time in Evans Mills as my son was also there. Matt was a bright young man and liked by all of us that got to know him. Though I did not know Matt very well, he was a grade ahead of me. I saw him frequently in the hallways of our school and from time to time heard his name over the speaker. Matt, we were such great friends as kids, the years have drifted us apart. You, your bro an i got into all kinds of mischief. I remember you guys always knowing what the new cool things were an the new music,Hanson to Eminem to Korn, lol.the first time I rode a BMX bike was yer Mongoose around the block!
