Working for Gus was a unique learning experience. If you knew Gus it changed your life. He opened my eyes to the possibilites that come with a broader mind and alternative view of the world. Gus was generous and frugal, a paradox of sorts. You never knew what his next move was or what was going to happen. If you had a phone conversation with him you better get your point across quick or risk hearing the dial tone soon. He didn't like people wasting his time, he treasured his time on Earth and would not allow others to take his time from him. I could write a book about Gus and those that know him would agree. I love you for all you've done for me and others Gus and will see you in the "blink of an eye".

Gus was a long time customer of Cornaby's and my sister Denise and her daughters,Tina and Becky were very saddened to hear of his loss. Actually one of the grandkids (Danielle-who would be in the restaurant often) last night when we were having a moment of silence for him starting tapping a coffee cup on the table. As Gus would often do. It was very appropriate and Gus would have loved it. It made us laugh. Take care Kenny and Olivia we are thinking of you!

I am really sorry for your loss. He really was a good man and as gruff as a bear but as mild as a kitten. He will be missed by Wayne I know because he helped him out so many times in the past just so we could survive. Thank you Gus and thank you Kenny

Ken;

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. So true that he was "known by many, understood by few" Took me a long time to realize he was as ruff as sandpaper on the outside but had a heart of gold on the inside. I will always have many memories of him, especially his "unique" check writing skills.
