of EndicottSanto Cofini, 63, of Endicott, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2003, at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Laura Cofini. He is survived by his wife Sharon Cofini, Endicott; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Vanessa Cofini, Baldwinsville, N.Y., Robert Cofini, Harrisburg, Pa., Tim and Sharon Pernes, Fort Worth, Tex.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Bill Allen, Elizabethville, Pa., Lori and Dennis Hughes, Honeoye, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Bryan, Megan, Tyler, Kyle, Jason, Sarah, Courtney and Rachael; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Keith Terry, Plainsville, Vt.; also many dear friends. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott. He was employed by Superior Printing Ink Co., New York City, N.Y., with 44 years of service. Santo was a well known pianist throughout the triple cities area. He taught piano lessons to many people throughout the years. In recognition to Santo's achievements in the entertainment field, he received a star on the sidewalk of stars in downtown Binghamton on June 13, 2003. Santo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Readling, the nurses and staff of Broome Oncology and the nurses and staff of the Hospice Program for the love, care and compassion that was shown to Santo over the past year.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Santo may be made to the Hospice Program, c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
