Timothy McCarthy Obituary
Binghamton: Timothy D. McCarthy, 54, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, April 11, 2014, at his home. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ellen Tallet; his grandmother, Helen Tallet; and a great aunt, Marianne Rees. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Susan McCarthy, Sidney, NY; two nieces, Marilee and Kelly McCarthy; stepfather, Robert McCarthy, Sidney, NY; two uncles and aunts, Danny and Joan Tallet, Binghamton, Jonathon and Ginny Tallet, OK; also several cousins, stepbrothers and stepsisters; two special friends, Tom Surowka and John Serafini. Tim was an avid baseball fan. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.

TO THE FAMILY OF TIM MCCARTHY. I WAS IN 5TH AND 6TH GRADE SCHOOL WITH TIM AT THOMAS JEFFERSON SCHOOL. THE OLDER WE GET WE THINK OF OUR OLD SCHOOL CHUMS. IT IS VERY SAD TO READ OF A DEATH OF THAT SCHOOL CHUM AND IT MAKES YOU THINK OF ALL THE KIDS YOU WENT TO SCHOOL WITH AND WONDER WHER THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF TIM AS WE USED TO TALK ON THE PHONE FOR HOURS AS KIDS. MICHAEL MY DEEPEST SYMPHONY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I'M SURE TIM IS IN GODS LOVING ARMS AND HIS WONDERFUL KINGDOM. HIS MEMORY WILL LIVE ON IN EACH OF YOU. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL. MAY TIM REST IN PEACE.

You will be missed dearly, Tim. We will miss your daily phone calls, our talks about the Thunder Basketball games, and talks about daily life in general. You were always a loving nephew and had positive and kind words for us. You turned your life around and found the Lord again. RIP Tim. You are in a better place now with no pain and suffering anymore.

Mac – you were my best friend growing up on Druid Place. What more can I say. First knew you as Timmy Turner - not many can say that. So many memories. We made a little mischief, had a lot fun and shared many laughs back in the day; before life's circumstances sent us on our separate ways. I am so glad I was able to spend some time with you this past summer. Only now I wish it could have been longer.
Tim, it was a privilege to call you “Friend”…..“Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
