Vincent Giordano Obituary
Denver, CO - Dr. Vincent Benjamin Giordano died on March 31, 2018 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 76. Vincent passed away quietly in his sleep after a several year struggle with Alzheimer's Dementia. He is survived by his best friend and former wife, Norryce Giordano, his daughter, Laura (Giordano) Martin, his son, Vincent Christopher Giordano, his son-in-law John Martin, and his grandchildren, Sara and Felix Martin. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Giordano, and Thomas' family. Vincent was born in Endicott, New York on May 25, 1941, the first of 2 sons for G. Thomas and Sara Giordano. He and Norryce met at the University of Rochester and together navigated the promises and pitfalls of raising children, running a successful pediatric practice, and transitioning into retirement. In retirement, he continued to pursue his loves of reading, tennis, golf, the beach, and his grandchildren until his dementia no longer allowed him those passions. Dr Giordano was my children's pediatrician.
Over the years I often thought about my days as a young mother and how caring, knowledgable, and dedicated Dr. Giordano was. Thank you Dr. Giordano for all of the loving care that you provided to my children. I'm so very sorry to hear that Dr. Giordano suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. Rest in Heavenly Peace Dr. Giordano. Thank you for being the best pediatrician a mother could ask for.

Dr. Giordano was a great doctor and human being.
He was very compassionate and patient with me as I was a bit of an anxious mother. Always got us in the same day, never made a sick child wait and his busy office proved that. He touched so many lives, Rest in Peace. Prayers to the family.

We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Girodano as the pediatrician to our 2 children. He was a very kind and caring doctor, always making sure you understood exactly what was going on with your child. And he always had time to see our children if they were sick. He never made us wait another day, he would fit us in that day. He truly was one of a kind and we so appreciated all that he did to help us in raising our children. We missed him very much when he left his practice. And we often wondered how he was. We are so sorry to hear of his struggles with Alzheimer's. Our sympathy and prayers to his family.

It was an honor to have Dr. Giordano serve as my children's pediatrician. He was brilliant, competent, humorous, and caring - always taking whatever time was necessary to thoroughly explain everything. This meant the world to me - as a young mother with two small children. I want to offer my sincere sympathy to the family of Dr. Giordano....a wonderful doctor to my two sons. When he first took over for his fathers patients we sorta wondered if we would get the same quality care for our children, well there were no worries ever needed. He was an excellent doctor, always knowing what was wrong and the correct action to heal. One very special incident I want to share with you- way back in 1976 my young son-Tommy Ciotoli very very quickly developed a high fever and dear Dr. Giordano said go right to the hospital with him, we did, BUT your caring father got there even before us. I tell that story to many of true dedication. They did a spinal cord procedure and his patience, Love and understanding to us, the parents was never forgotten. Truly an amazing doctor. Sadly my son,Tommy, went on to contact meningitis at the age of 20 in 1994 and passed away. I am sure you hear stories from mothers like me, but it is from the heart I send this. Be strong.

There was not a finer pediatrician. Dr. Giordano had a very special, casual manner to calm the worries of an anxious parent. He will always be remembered with admiration. May your memories sustain you in your grief. God bless.
