Walter Benson Obituary
1929 - 2006Walter Thomas Benson, 76, formerly of Binghamton, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn. Mr. Benson was born April 25, 1929 in Binghamton, to the late Bradford William Benson and Marguerite Mae Henderson Benson. He was a former aluminum installer for Diamond Construction in Florida. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post in Big Sandy, Tenn. He was a Christian and an avid hunter. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Benson; four sons, Bradford Benson, Ben Benson both of Maine; Bruce Benson, Fla., and Kirk Benson, Tenn.; a sister, Beth Marlene Topp, Chenango Forks; a step-son, Rod Livingston, Tenn.; a nephew, Jeffry Topp and niece, Holly Mezzadonna; a special friend, Joanne Wood, Eva, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial was held in Tenn. on April 23, 2006. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery on May 3, 2006 at 11 a.m.
