William C. (Bill) Evans
of Vestal
William C. Evans, 67, of Vestal, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 4, 2003, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marianne and loving family; son, and daughter-in-law, Jay and Patricia, Jay's daughters, Nicole and Andrea, their mother, Laurie Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Sharon, their children, Chad, Josh, Ashley and Brittany; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Lorene, their children, Marisa, Molly and Jake. William was a long time resident and respected local businessman in Vestal. He volunteered many years of community service, but his focus in life was primarily the love and concern he gave to his family. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Willow Point Nursing Home, especially the dedicated staff on second floor north for their loving care and genuine concern for Bill and the Evans family.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m, Thursday, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal. The Rev. Robert T. Peak, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimers Association of the Southern Tier, 1406 Monroe St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760 or memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church, 2 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
