To the family of William (Bill) Parker,
We are very sorry to hear the loss of your father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Always remember the fondest memories you all have shared with him. God's blessings to all of you and make his memory to be eternal! Bill gave a lecture at the Broome County Historical Society on his long career in broadcasting on WNBF Radio and WBNG Television in which we enjoyed listening. We remember the Officer Bill Show to promote the respect for the law. He is truly a Broome County Icon.
With deepest Sympathy,
Serge and Sandy Kostun

"Come a running pardners, it's time for the TV Ranch Club"! I can still remember the call by Bill Parker to fans of that show, a show I seldom missed.
Many great memories of the TV Ranch Club. Over the years I often thought of Bill Parker's dedication and excellent stewardship of the shows he hosted.
He was definitely a part of my childhood, and sad to hear of his passing. Always a "Fan"

I didn't know Bill personally but do thank him for the Officer Bill show. I believe between that show and my parents' teachings, that is how I learned it is important to respect police, teachers and such. Thank you sir. ( I shared this thought last year when WBNG had a spot about him; I hope he was told what I said.)

Heaven has gained another angel. Bill Parker was a figure to be admired by all who knew him and those who knew of him. His voice was so recognizable all over the Triple Cities. He had universal appeal to children and adults.
Every year, he would go to St. Thomas Aquinas School, where he was one of our VIP Readers as he visited grades K-3. The children loved him, as did the teachers!
He was always present in our neighborhood as he went on his daily walks and going to St. Francis of Assisi Church always so friendly and so personable.
We'll miss you, Bill. You were one in a millon!

TV Ranch Club, 1954, my Brownie Troop proudly visited our hero, Bill Parker. We watched him faithfully from show to show, parade to parade,
appearance of Bill Parker never failed to bring a smile to our faces or joy to our hearts. Now I am
a 72 yr. old great-grandmother and can honestly say over the decades kept aware of this amazing man's appearances be in radio, TV, etc. To say
Bill Parker was an asset to our area is such an understatement. He was a legend in his own time and his presence will be felt no matter where we are in this area. To his family I say "Thank-you" for sharing him with us and letting us experience the blessing you had having his love all your lives.
Sincerely,
"Patty Grigor" / raised in Binghamton, NY

I had the privilege of being on the Officer Bill show back in the late 60's and then to work with him in the early 90's at WNBF/WHWK. His calm, cool and collected manner was the real him. He was cut from the cloth that proudly wore a tie to work no matter what, and how dapper he was! My parents went on and always enjoyed his trips and luncheons at the Little Venice. My 91 year old Mom has missed those times these last few years. To the Parker family...thank you for sharing your Dad, Grandpa, etc, with Broome County. He was a treasure and blessing to so many.

My grandmother, Carm Chauncey, was a relative of Anne's and I remember the many family reunions that were held year after year. Bill gave my grandfathers eulogy and my grandmother and I would call and visit Bill when she was able. He was very kind to us and always glad for the call or visit. He always spoke fondly of his family and shared the latest news of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always was the light in the room and his light lives in each of you. Continue to spread Light!

To the Parker Family: my sincerest sympathy to each of you. My Dad, Joe, was Anne's first cousin and Bill and Anne were my parents, Joe and Tommy's, best friends. I was Joe and Tommy's youngest son. They ALL loved the travel adventures! Anne and Tommy were kindred spirits for sure. I fondly remember visiting Aunt Ruth and Uncle Louie and Anne when growing up. I remember Brenda and Linda's weddings......and when Bill called the north country radio during a snow storm in New England 1998 to ensure my brother Mike and his family in Plattsburgh was aware of my daughter Olivia's birth in Hartford CT during a historical blizzard and when he came to my brother's Joe's funeral in Bainbridge after his untimely death in LA in 2016......what a gracious man was Bill..so many examples for today and the lost ways of this generation, leaders and society! I hope to see you all later this week. Chris, Linda and Olivia Delello Granby CT

My sincerest condolences to all the family. Bill & Ann were great neighbors to have living next door. I went on several of their trips which were always great. The one that sticks out the most in my mind was the trip to Switzerland. His daughter Brenda babysat for me sometimes. He had a stellar career in Binghamton and was a pillar of the community. He will be greatly missed.
