Barbara Jean Cunningham passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Rosa on November 3, 2023 at the age of 93.

She was born and raised in Flint Michigan and moved to Santa Rosa in 1946. She worked in the title insurance business before she battled and overcame numerous health conditions and surgeries for more than half her life. Mom was a courageous lady who never gave up, never complained about her physical struggles and still traveled and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Through all her struggles, she accepted life on life's terms.

She was an inspiration to family, friends, and all that met her. She loved to laugh and appreciate the small and important things in life. She was a giver and a great listener. Her son, Scott, describes her as his hero, champion, inspiration, and best friend. Scott was also the caregiver by her side in the last few years of her life, which he thought was such a blessing and a privilege to be a part of. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith, she finished her race.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton Starks and Doris Starks McCausland; her sisters Mary Lou Dix and Arden Mae Barron; half brother Cecil Starks; and her husband Craig Cunningham. She is survived by her son, Scott Malm, and nieces and nephews.

She is now at peace in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 'Till we meet again. Love you always and thank you for everything. Rest in peace. Love, Scott.
